Timeline
1 month (November 2022)
As part of a school group project in late 2022, I focused on creating an innovative solution for online furniture shopping. The challenge was to help users visualize how products would fit into their homes, which often leads to costly and mismatched purchases. I collaborated with a team of product owners and engineers to develop an augmented reality application that allows users to virtually place furniture in their living spaces. This project not only aimed to enhance the shopping experience but also focused on budget-friendly home improvement solutions.
The development process involved extensive user research and competitive analysis. I created user personas based on feedback from potential users, emphasizing the need for visualizing home improvements within budget constraints. The design process included sketching user journeys, developing wireframes, and ultimately producing high-fidelity prototypes that integrated AR technology for realistic product placement. Throughout this project, I learned the importance of user-centered design and the need for differentiation in a competitive market. The successful implementation of Tra-it resulted in increased engagement and satisfaction among users, demonstrating the value of immersive technology in enhancing online shopping experiences
